Ladies and Gentlemen:
Someone is obviously missing the
implications of using techniques for sealing flange surfaces on this
BOP deep in the GULF as the Flange on the TOP of the riser has
sufficient flat contact surface with machining to totally SEAL OFF
THE BOP TOP FLANGE and not one drop of oil will come out into the
Gulf. Branko R. Babic Counter Pressure Plug with weights, flow
through pipe and especially the GATE VALVE weights female flange to
match up with GE FLOTATION PIPE MALE FLANGE and there is ONLY ONE
HITCH. The GE PIPE must have another flange to flange connection
with a shutoff to allow same to be sent down 5,000 FEET of FLOTATION
PIPE 21 inches to accept the flow. Right now BP forgot about the
horizontal CUT in the riser just before the FLANGE which prevents
sealing on Top Hat 4.
REMEMBER THAT FOLKS ? DIAMOND CUTTER GOT STUCK BECAUSE NO ONE
TOLD OPERATOR TO SET UP ON THE SECTION ABOVE THE BOLT AND WASHER
TO THE LEFT WHERE THE STRESS WOULD BE MINIMAL AND HAVING A CRANE
HOLD UP ON THE PIPE STRESSED TO ALLOW A FLUSH CUT.....BOY SCOUTS ?
SAWING UNDERNEATH LIMB BETWEEN SCOUT AND TREE....WILL JAM ! TOP HAT
# 4 WAS A FAILURE BECAUSE IT TRIED TO TAKE 21 INCH FLOW REDUCED TO 6
INCHES FLOW PLUS FUNNEL WITH NO 20,000 COUNTER WEIGHT AND LEAK TO
FLANGE BY CUT NEAR FLANGE.
GET THE EXACT MEASUREMENTS OF THE FLANGE AND USE BRANKO R. BABIC
COUNTER PRESSURE PLUG IN FLANGE WITH WEIGHTS 20,000 POUNDS, SHUTOFF
AND FLANGE TO SURFACE.....ONLY ATTACH TO GE FLOTATION PIPE WITH
FLANGE
AND IT WILL RUN FOR YEARS WITHOUT A LEAK --- UNLESS THE BOP FALLS
OVER !
REMEMBER ---- 21 INCH CANNOT BE REDUCED TO 6 INCH WITH SUCCESS TO
SEAL
ALL FLOW.....32 INCHES MACHINED SURFACE WITH WEIGHTS OVER FLANGE NOW
\
WILL BE NECESSARY OR YOU SIMPLY REPLACE THE FLANGE WITH SHUTOFF AND
OPEN FEMALE FLANGE FOR HOOKUP TO GE PIPE.....Babic Invention Cost
$20,000.00 !
BP DAMAGE PAYMENTS WILL EXCEED $750 MILLION OR MORE.......
Which would you Choose? Remember 042310 this well leak could have
been stopped
IN 8 HOURS FLAT !
What BP does with the OIL and GAS is
their problem but barges must be standing bye to receive this oil
and some method of burning off the GAS must be there or they will
kill many of the Vessel Operators and staff unless it is burned
off. ALL vessels should have extra OXYGEN BOTTLES with masks and
tubing standing bye in case the darned LIGHTED section is
extinguished for any reason and that gas displaces ALL oxygen.
METHANE ALARM should sound like we use in our construction industry
inside and outside. Cheaper than feeding CANARY at each
station...... :-}
Brad: A little help please with this
illustration from a 70 year old man without any ability to draw
anything and we do not have a template to make the items look
right: CAMERON will have to give the exact measurements for a
replacement flange with riser with shutoff with flange for GE Riser
Flotation Pipe soon with FEDERAL INTERVENTION asking for
Measurements and BOP MANUAL PERHAPS IN PDF FOR THAT PARTICULAR
UNIT....SOMEONE IS MISSING THE PLAN C, PLAN D, PLAN E believed
clearly indicated in the MANUAL. UNCLE will have to make it clear
that NO MORE STANDING UP 8 STORY BOP'S AND ALL MUST BE LYING ON
I-BEAMS WITH WAYS TO SHUT OFF CASING WITH GATE VALVES, TEES WITH ALL
PORTS WITH GATE VALVES, 90 DEGREE ELLS COMING UP TOWARD SURFACE
THROUGH SHUTOFFS TO FLANGES WHICH CAN ALLOW REMOVING THE BOP AND
PUTTING IN ANOTHER 178 TON TOY SHUTOFF.
UNCLE MUST ALSO DEMAND ALL SHUTOFF
ELECTRIC TO BATTERIES BE TAKEN UP TO SURFACE BATTERY CHARGES SOLAR
AND HYDRAULIC FLUID MUST HAVE CHECK VALVES TO STOP LOSS IN ANY
FUTURE ACCIDENTS PLUS ALL PIPING WITH RISERS FULL OF OIL MUST BE
FLOTATION PROTECTED TO ALLOW NO PRESSURE ON ANYTHING FOR 5,000 FEET
WITH OIL AND GAS. TOP OF THE TEE should have a shutoff with
special flange cover having ability to force mud, concrete or even a
DRILL deep into the casing but especially I refer all to the Branko
R. Babic FRICTION PLUG which can be dropped into a 18,000 foot well
casing should a blowout below occur to seal the well casing !
Hint...Hint !
I anticipated flange being perhaps 36 inches
across with 32 inches surface to accept the CUT some 6 inches
AWAY with a funnel to 32 inches riser then
reduced to 21 inches. Weight would hold it secured to flange TOP.
Bolts should be indicated going through 3 inch
steel machined with threads to seal on the SECOND BOP FLANGE.
Distance from 12 inch seal to bottom might only
be six inches as it must only go over the second flange with
HOLES THREADED AND SUPER THICK BOLTS IN SAME
LOCKING DOWN ON THE FLANGE SURFACE which might
Really be 6 inches thick machined steel. UNTIL
CAMERON RELEASES THE MEASUREMENTS or finds a flange I
Can only guess and hope you or Branko R. Babic
can make this SLEEVE MACHINED LOOK CORRECT for the members
USCG and their Experts from Uncle.
When this OIL SPILL hits
the Islands South and East where they all depend on DESAL
WATER....better have a few BILLION DOLLARS ON STOCK WITH THE BOTTLED
WATER COMPANIES ! People will really appreciate NO ONE PROVIDING
THE EXACT MEASUREMENTS OF THE CAMERON BOP FLANGE AS REQUESTED OR BOP
MANUAL WITH EMERGENCY METHODS TO CLOSE THE BOP DOWN USING ONE OF SIX
STEPS !
