After sending you the email with
the PDF file and the elaboration on how to get the water-jet
cutting equipment down there. As well as the idea of tapping
a piece of pipe with a flange into the riser/BOP I have made
a simple presentation/drawing of what I'm talking about
regarding the tapping into the shortened riser. Check the
attachment for this drawing.
Furthermore I've attached
another drawing with a (closed) valve on top of the tapping
pipe.
I think these two pictures will
clarify what I wrote in the e-mail.
Anyhow, I wanted to let you know
I really appreciate your initiative. The suspicion and
questioning about what's really being done with all the
submissions of people like you and me is very recognizable.
So, I see I'm not the only one who felt this way. Just the
-and not limited to- unfriendly, not really functioning
submission-form at deepwaterhorizonresponse.com
shows proof of that.
Best Regards,

Why can't they crimp the
pipe, with a jaws of life sort of contraption?
Hydraulic press or a huge v shaped piece of steel
with a rounded edge that would be lowered with the
cranes above then dropped a certain distance to
crush the riser pipe that is on the floor of the
gulf.

Idea to plug hole in the oil pipe
Create a balloon and place it on the end of a tube. Insert the
tube and balloon inside the pipe and inflate the balloon. After
the balloon is inflated, backfill the area behind the balloon
with concrete. When the concrete is set, deflate the balloon
and cap the smaller tube. The balloon might have to be inflated
with a solution instead of air because the hydraulic action will
out perform compressed air at those depths. You could also
inflate the balloon with a substance like concrete and complete
the job in one step.
Equipment/Materials required:
Ship, undersea robot, balloon and tube, concrete. Equipment
capable of controlling the robot, and deliver the solution and
concrete to the pipe.

Mayday one thru ten items are now UP on the site or web page
http://www.scribd.com/ralphwhitleysr and you
can use anything needed on any show. Look at the 042610 item to
see how long Ruth and I have been screaming for something to be
done that we both know will work because I have used it in the
past and 5 inches or 5,000 feet makes no difference in liquid
flow or gas flow….it all works and will work !
Sadly the
Deepwater Horizon National Disaster is nothing but a drop in the
proverbial bucket as some 350 rigs have similar problems with
these 8 story BOP’s used and piping even into the sea which
could rupture or be pulled out causing a super spill in the
Gulf. Most rigs are stationary with some 50-70 feet from the
Gulf waters as their platform. Deepwater Horizon was a free
floating or DP Mode vessel depending on GPS and thrusters to
keep the rig over a specific imaginary point in the Gulf. When
the people of BP ignored two specific warnings 1) BOP annular
failed due to operator error applying too much pressure and
shattering a critical component for shut down 2) one of two
modules went down and one reportedly had a bad battery which
should have been changed or addressed immediately.
11 souls are on
the bottom dead, 115 were able to escape as the Deepwater
Horizon drifted with the waves and sea currents away from the
BOP then was pulled over on fire first from the GAS exploding
but then from fuel and oil onboard igniting into an inferno .
Abandon Rig orders meant everyone would jump into the water or
use four lifeboats immediately once the fire started . Sadly
those 11 did not have any super DOT style reflective tabs in
their clothing nor did anyone have a fanny pack with inflatable
life vest, light good for 48 hours minimum nor S.P.O.T. GPS
notifier so they were lost.
Now for some
history. I am former Navy and USAR decorated by both branches
for 8.5 years Navy and some 8 more USAR teaching Military
Police. I also was a Professional Welder and Plumber II first
for Hardaway Construction with C.B. Singleton hiring me as a
welder then transferred to Tampa Shipyard as a Welder and became
a Boilermaker then went into the field in Mulberry for the
special container welding work. I applied for a job at Tampa
General Hospital where they agreed to use me as a welder while
teaching me Plumbing from 1974 until 1983. In 1979 while
working at TGH near a true medical genius Mason Trupp I was
watching CNN about the IXTOC 1 runaway well blown out below the
sea bed and like a blowtorch. Dr. Trupp, who holds the patents
for the Fighter Jet Pilot “G” Suit plus special wing on fighters
that will go from perhaps 90 and 270 degrees to 170 and 210
degrees DART mode. Dr. Trupp asked me, a plumber welder how I
would solve the spill leak. I already have been on hand when
NASA called Dr. Trupp in the Surgical area with a problem on the
Space Shuttle or anything NASA had a problem with and this
Genius would solve the problem in one full minute while the
nurse would hold the phone then he would return to surgery.
Dr. Trupp
listened to my idea and told me to get on the phone to PEMEX or
RED ADAIR who was going to blow out the well for $10,000,000.00
shortly. I assured Dr. Trupp I would make the call when I
returned home. First I called Red Adair’s business line only to
have an old timer think it was super funny for a mere
plumber/welder to think he can give Red Adair a clue how to stop
the leak, asking me how long I had worked in the rigs, how many
casings are in an oil pipe…etc. I asked him if the oil is a
liquid form then he told me that if Red Adair could not blow it
out he would give Red Adair my message.
Then I
remembered PEMEX and called the long distance overseas operator
getting a staff person with PEMEX and told them I was asked by
NASA GENIUS DR. MASON TRUPP to make the call as he agreed my
idea would shut down the well burning from below the Gulf. I
was given to an engineer and told him who I was, where I worked
and then to use what I use….force lead into the pipe as it works
for me here in Tampa in gas lines, water and sewer lines. The
man thanked me and about three weeks later we watched CNN show
two barges at the line punched into the casing where SOFTBALL
size balls of lead by the thousands were molded and coated with
grease then forced by air into the casing way below the
blowout…….IT WORKED !
When we saw the
Deepwater Horizon tragedy, knowing of a NATIONAL DISASTER with
oil and deadly gas flowing from three areas, we started thinking
and wrote an article 042610 sending same to all government
officials then since then we have contacted a true GENIUS Branko
Richard Babic the 1991 inventor of the Counter Pressure Plug who
instantly gave me permission to GIVE AWAY HIS PATENTED IDEAS to
BP and our Government Leaders so they could stop the leak within
8 Hours. My name is not KEVIN COSTNER and we had no NEWS
CONFERENCE so no one paid any attention to my ideas to use a
Brenelle Jet Swet version concept to use an 18 inch pipe flow
thru with special compression annular rubber turning for
compression by ROV to make it hold inside the 21 inch riser pipe
at the fartherest point after cutting with an underwater chop
saw capable of cutting 26 inch pipe in a heartbeat. Such would
have collected ALL oil, gas, water from the end fracture.
Next would be
insert another back toward the BOP and finally one at the BOP
with Branko R. Babic invention called a Counter Pressure Plug
with wheel valve shutoff and flange outlet matching up to use
the GE riser pipe to the surface which would have recovered the
well and allowed them to shut down the well immediately. I
estimated making such a CPP could be done in less than 4 hours
in a welding shop near LA or TX where they use similar super
thick wall pipe every day. Cost estimated less than $4,000.00
or $8,000.00 for two. I even got with Branko R. Babic via
telephone to Oxford England using SKYPE at 2 cents per minute
where we discussed cutting the top of the BOP if a section 4
feet long was good, attaching his Counter Pressure Plug with a
sleeve tight fitting over the riser with the sleeve making
another compression point to allow the riser to push out less
than ONE HALF INCH sealing inside the sleeve while the riser was
sealed and weight holding all down to the top riser. Such would
have allowed BP to use the well FULL FLOW to the surface but I
insisted, as I do today ALL RISERS should have shutoff valves
and check valves on the hydraulic lines because the event caused
all critical Hydraulic Oil to go into the sea so the BOP could
not shut.
Now many
believe the BOP was lost…..Plan A push a button and it
seals…..the Manufacturer must, in the manual have plan c, plan
d, plan e, but no one is reading anything. I watched in horror
as the ROV turned from right to left attempting reportedly to
close the BOP manually on the face plate when all indications
were the CLOSE was to the RIGHT or CLOCKWISE like Righty Tighty,
Lefty Loosey. No one can blame the ROV operator as they did not
have the manual section nor were they told anything about
emergency procedures since the Acoustic shut down operated from
the ROV ship was not there at all…another thing causing this
damage.
Keep in mind
you will review no less than 10 MAYDAY MESSAGES, the latest
telling BP and USCG to use fire hose type water flow and a
special section of pipe made to move the flow of oil and gas off
some 20 feet away from the BOP while the ROV cuts off the pipe
attached but there must be two cuts with the crane on surface
assisting. Once cut frees the short section of the BOP riser,
moves it aside with help of ROV attaching special SLING then
once on the Bottom clear of the BOP then the crane would unhook
from the long section of pipe cut and move to the BOP top
section where the ROV would use the chop saw to cut away the
pipe allowing a connection or cut away the top FLANGE then BP
would have a second flange with riser pipe and shutoff on same
then another flange female for the same GE pipe to allow
lowering of a long section of pipe down to the sea, perhaps even
flexible with a waterproof cover and shutoff immediately after
the male flange which will link up with the female flange on top
of the new BOP riser. Bolts can be welded in place then all the
ROV has to do is use DEEP SOCKETS with new Nuts tightening down
after opening the shutoff valve once it is in position OVER the
flow then the riser addition valve can be opened as NO REAL
PRESSURE would allow setting it in place with special O rings
sealing the connection. NO ONE CALLED EVER !
Our final
MAYDAY TEN message to USCG commanders, BP, Horizon, Innovative
Technologies, Governors and Officials was sent last evening.
They have my number and they have given receipts for each and
every suggestion except MAYDAY TEN telling them to use pressure
water from the surface perhaps to keep with fan nozzles the oil
and gas away from the ROV viewing so they can do their work
without losing visual . Even Branko Richard Babic is upset with
these BP people for not taking his PROVEN GIFTS TO AMERICA in
this emergency nor have they taken ideas for skimming oil
quickly and special rollers squeezing rotating mats of absorbent
material PLUS the lifting power of submersible PUMPS inside
steel or schedule 900 pipe which would suck oil blobs from 1000
feet to the surface like SUMP PUMPS suck oil from a LIFT STATION
or deep Ships Compartments…..NO ONE LISTENS TO A MAN WHO IS 70
AND NOT A MOVIE STAR ! IF I was able to solve it why be on
Social Security as I should be RICH owning a giant firm. Right
!!!!
We warned of
the clouds of gas going near Nuclear Power Plants, Buildings or
even over Vehicles causing them to take same into intakes and
engines will BLOW UP. I join others knowing this could have
been over in 8 hours any time BP wanted to shut it down and
listen to EXPERTS . Instead a straw is used to pull off some
oil to the surface ship. NOT using the JET SWET seal to get ALL
but just 1/100 TH of the oil from one leak source….NOT IN THREE
LEAKS and certainly not shutting down the spill.
BP and others
even refused to think of pushing LEAD BALLS or even STEEL BALLS
which are available by the THOUSANDS all over the world for
steel in their JUNK SHOT. Instead they sent or stated they were
sending a Junk Shot of sections of RUBBER and GOLF BALLS which
would compress….put one under a steel ROLLER on a plate and see
how it reacts compressing or blowing apart since it does have a
center. MAXFLY OR DUNLOP BALLS ? White or GREEN ? NO LEAD OR
STEEL BALLS WERE INSERTED and what is the opening size shown by
the USCG xray of the CLOSED CAMS WITH A SMALL OPENING…..ADD A
BALL STEEL JUST A LITTLE LARGER IN THE FORCED PIPE THEN LET IT
BE PUSHED UP INTO THE BOP……WORK…… HECK YES ! Done…..NOT !
Everyone no
doubt laughed at the idea given to use SUPER COLD LIQUID
NITROGEN PUMPED INTO THE LINES TO FLOW UP WITH FRESH WATER WHICH
WILL FREEZE QUICKLY STOPPING THE FLOW TOTALLY. THE LMRP IS
NEXT WITHOUT FLANGE….LOOK AT THE TOP OF THE BOP WHERE THERE IS A
FLANGE…..NO OTHER BOP SIMILAR WITH SIMILAR FLANGE CONNECTION
WHICH IS AVAILABLE AND WHY NOT CUT THE BOLTS AND NUTS THEN PUT
ANOTHER FULL FLOW FLANGE WITH PIPE BUT ADD THE SHUTOFF…… DUH
????? I EVEN SEE HYDRAULIC SHEARS NOW WHEN OCEANEERING HAD ROV
WITH CHOP SAW ALL ALONG ABLE TO CUT PIPE…..NOW THEY BRING
HYDRAULIC SHEARS TO CUT SOMETHING….WHERE WERE THEY 042610 ?
We are normally
available should you have questions on this National Disaster
now in the hands of USCG Rear Admiral Landry assisted by former
Admiral Thad Allen and Former Lt. General Russell Honore from
KATRINA fame for the Admiral and General Honore. We sent
concerns about gas killing people or dispersant gas making
people sick with the cleanup or onboard vessels. We are not EPA
but I remember EPA said Ground Zero air was PERFECT AND
SAFE……that was their first and last lie to me Sir. I keep an
Oxygen Generator ready should I have a problem with waterspouts
depositing oil or dispersant liquids in RAIN. My partner and CO
SUGGESTION PERSON is Ruth DeLaMater Bundy a professional in
Backflow Prevention, Inc. testing, repair, installations and she
will be on the Oxygen mask first if I have my way.

Gulf of Mexico BP Oil Leak
Alternative Technology Response
The massive scale of
the oil leak disaster require a massive response. The failure of
the toy cage and mud slinging into a mile deep ocean is now
evident. The following illustration is a mammoth 40,000+ ton
barge structure that matches the scale and magnitude of the
disaster. It is easy to assemble using the readily available
materials from sea shipping industry: It involves taking four
barges and joining them together forming a square base, leaving
about 200 feet square opening within. The next step is to create
a massive steel wall using the shipping containers. The third
step is to create a heavy duty steel pyramid over the steel
walls. The fourth step is to attach a oil extraction connection.
The fifth step is to gradually sink this 40,000 ton structure -
the Big Barge gradually over the affected area of the leak. If
the operation goes as planned, the oil can be extracted through
the oil extraction connection. Because this structure is so
heavy and sealed, the oil will have no means to escape it, even
if the oil extraction operation is not fully successful. This is
a fail-safe approach to contain a large affected area of the
leak, as it is now suspected that the oil may be leaking from
multiple sources near the mail leak. This operation does not
require robotic precision that has proven unsuccessful one mile
underwater. This sketch was submitted to
BP official site and mailed to president Obama on May 28th,
2010. I invite your comments on this proposal:

Hello my name is Gene W. Sales
and I have a suggestion on how to fix the broken well. I
think you should drill another well about a mile away and
drill horizontally to broken well and fill with cement
plugs. I know it will take a while to drill another well,
but it will be very much worth the time and trouble when all
is fixed..
Sincerely
Gene Sales

As a temporary solution while a more permanent
one is developed, the idea is to cut a hole
about 25-30ft in diameter in the center bottom
of an oil tanker so the spill can fill up the
contained space. The hole should be bigger than
the blowout preventer to allow the tanker to fit
over it. An iron “O” ring, about 5-10ft in
depth, will need to be placed on the bottom of
the tanker to act as both a stabilizer for the
ship, and leakage prevention of the oil. The
depth of the “O” ring will depend on the depth
of the sediment on the ocean floor, and the
weight of the tanker will push the ring into the
ground as it settles. Oil tankers can withstand
tremendous pressure, so the size of the ship
should be big enough to allow time for the tank
to fill up while preparations are being made to
pump the oil out. On the top deck of the tanker,
retrofit first a dome, then a top hat
containment device to funnel the oil for a
controlled method of pumping. Lastly, an
umbilical cord will need to be attached to the
tanker to a mothership for communication and
stabilizing purposes. The challenge here would
be the sinking of the tanker to place it over
the damaged blowout preventer. Stabilizers,
attached at strategic locations on the tanker,
and GPS, will be needed to accomplish this task.

Has BP
engineers considered catheterizing
the well by using an "balloon
angio-plasty" technique by inserting
a tube with a Kevlar balloon
attached which could be inflated
with high pressure to slow the oil
enough to insert concrete to seal
it? Perhaps the cement could be
injected directly into the
balloon...the kinks in the pipe
would prevent the balloon from being
blown out. Sounds plausible to me.
Sincerely
To whom it may concern,
The idea that I have came up with
will work. I think that the cold water
at the bottom of the gulf my cause the
rubber bulb to crack. If that is the
case, warm water would be better to use
for pressure than air. With the spring
loaded spike on it, it will not be able
to be pulled out. There for the spikes
may not work. I am sure that you guys
should be able to modify this enough to
MAKE it work. Thank you for the
opportunity to submit an idea. Please
inform me If the idea is used or
attempted, (662)213-9845

If there is
an adequate open area in riser pipe free of
broken or twisted drill rod, it may be
possible to use a pop rivet type apparatus
to work as compression cork inside well
pipe...the only difference is rivet would
have to be compressed hydraulically or with
threaded rod with machined washers on each
end going thru center of rivet and attached
to nut that would compress rivet much like a
bearing or wheel puller works....as
the large brass or aluminum rivet is
compressed it would expand against well pipe
walls, securing itself in place...A soft
rubber core could also be placed in hollow
of rivet around threaded rod to work as a
sealer once rivet is compressed.....good
luck
Since BP's solutions have been
trying to suck up some of the
oil and throwing mud and scraps
of rubber at it, it is obvious
they are looking for a simple
inexpensive solution...So be
it....Why not use a tool rod to
manufacture a self tapping bolt
type plug to plug the riser
pipe, or pipe leak ? A bolt type
self tapping plug with a long
alignment and boring nose that
could be installed with a drill
rig on the surface, and a robot
to insert nose of plug into pipe
or hole and maybe hold it in
place. Even if plug could only
be inserted 4 or 5 threads deep
it could withstand a couple
thousand psi....If it does not
work other options are still
open
squini@peoplepc.com
Hello,
My idea may be an easier temporary fix
until the relief well is finished
without
possibly making it worse. Cut a slot
half way through the pipe wide enough
for a good
thick gauge of metal to slide in it. The
end of the thick sheet metal going in
the slot
should be curved to the
inside circumference of the pipe. Please
see attached.
Good Luck,

I was thinking this evening about this oil issue,
and that it seems most of the attempts made
so far have a lot to do with the depths at
which various things are being tried. Too me
at least, it seems like you basically need
to get that oil channeled to the surface
instead of trying to cap it at the bottom,
take the approach of just pumping it and
minimizing or manage any leakage or
disbursement into the Gulf at this point.
Perhaps eventually cap it, but for now since
it is open, you might as well just pump it
and manage it. Attached and included in my
idea to use sewer pipe cylinders, 5-6ft
diameter heavy duty. Possibly this idea has
some merits and helps you.
Best,

Help for BP
oil as oil edged close the hole system high
pressure 4000 bar
The system as
shown in the drawing is composed of the
following
I. The
tubular structure is coupled to a hinge
system then consists of the following
elements:
II. Coupling
to the pipe with several septa semicircular
clamping taper pins
III. Guide
crew for cutting high pressure water system
with combination play on rack
IV. Dual-head
system with high pressure water cutting 4000
bars.
V. Closing
cap on the pipe after cutting movement on
the pistons.
The advantage of this system is that during
cutting do not occur overheating then the
operation is safe even in the presence of
gas.
The execution time is very short and safe.
The system is dropped open in one piece as
described for hinge, and then placed around
the pipe to be cut, lowering the bar and
then close coupling of the hinge.
OPERATION
Proceed tightening grip system made up of
the semicircular conical spines
Advancement of head-edged high pressure
Progress with actuator rail travel on the
rack
The system is lowered as described for open
hinge, and then placed aroundthe pipe to be
cut, then lower the bar and close coupling
of the hinge.
Made the cut slice enter the system through
the closing movement of the two pistons.
Proceed to tighten grip with the system
semicircular conical spines
Advancement of high pressure cutting head
twice
Progress through servo rail travel on the
rack
Made the cut slice you can enter the system
through the closing movement of the two
pistons
Time predictable success with the system two
hours
Good work Zandonella
